Resume
The main genres I love to write are eco-fiction, sci-fi and dystopia. However, when I've been employed as a writer, the genres have mostly consisted of action, thriller and psychological drama. I find this has stretched me as a writer, and I really enjoy researching new subjects, developing characters and exploring the worlds in which they live. That said, I'm currently working on my own pieces for theatre, focusing on the subjects I love most!
To date, excluding the projects below, I've written four feature films, seven shorts, a TV series and edited multiple writing projects. Whereas the editing work was paid, the majority of these scripts were on a deferred payment basis. They were all projects I felt a connection with, which I hoped would go on to receive funding and proceed into production.
Despite the obvious disappointment of these scripts never seeing the light of day, looking back, I know that each project gave me invaluable experience, which enabled me to enhance my writing skills and understand more about how the industry operates.

WATER

Water flows, connecting one land mass to another.
One people to another.
Carrying hopes and expectations on its transient surface.

Waves foam and rage against a single ship,
Rocking the metal vessel like the devil,
Whilst rolling tomorrow's dreams ever closer.

Water streams inland, gently carving the landscape with a soft, powerful persistence.
Eager to swell into every space, to find its place, somewhere to belong,
Like those who stream in upon it.

Rivers already present, blocked, chiselled and diverted,
Making way for a new world.
The flow abides, follows the carved out path - but not through choice.

Like water, some go with the flow,
Others rage against the system; waves beating against an immovable rocky shore.
Where there is change, there will always be conflict.
